I'm in my 20's, I'm from the southwestern US, I am a wife and mother. I play Horseland in my spare time and started on DA when I started learning how to make photo-manipulations with GIMP for horses on HL. I'm still not great at it, but learning.

So I've been searching the internet for good tutorials for GIMP... I seriously need some help. I feel like my manipulations are so rough. I wish I knew more and could do more with these great stock photos!
And I started looking around at some of YOUR work and I felt so inadequate. UGH. Basically all of the work I looked at was a million times better than mine. Where do you guys learn to be so good at this stuff? Bleh. I'm jealous.

Hey!
I'm new to DA.
I'm just learning how to use GIMP to make photo-manips (mostly of horses for HL).
Any advice is greatly appreciated (given that it is kind and not rude).
If I forget to post a link to something I have made using your stock, I'm sorry! Sometimes I forget! Just remind me. I will always credit you on the image if I use your stock.
I have been drawing since I could hold a pencil, but I have not reached my potential. I wish I could have taken art classes in school to give me a better foundation and help my artistic talent... it has been pretty dormant for the past few years since I grew up and got boring.
